Crazy start into the new year

So, we all have our stories for how we reign in each new year. Well, allow me to share what has happened to my family in these (almost) first two weeks of the new year:

-We had a power surge which fried our internet and wifi connection. (we basically lived in the dark ages for two to three days)

-We got our wifi fixed, but now we don't have a phoneline.

-I got a new puppy (he pees, poops, and chews on EVERYTHING. And he loves to wake me up in the middle of the night by chewing on my ear or my nose) Both my sister's dog and our cats hate him.

-And my nephew was born nearly a week before he was due.

It's not quite a laundry list of insanity, but it makes me wonder what else this new year has in store for us.
